As Valentines Day Weekend comes to a close I hope you felt showered with love. Whether you celebrated with your s/o, your gals, your family or whoever is important to you, many people try to make this one day so special for those they care about! My question though is, why do we limit this love to only one day a year! I want to touch on how to make this feeling last year long. Here are my 5 tips on how to make every day sweeter for your favorites.

  1. It doesn’t have to be Valentine’s to make a special plan for dinner (and I can promise you the reservation is going to be a lot easier to get)! Dress up a little, whether you are going to a fancy dinner or something more casual, make it feel like a special occasion.
  2. Send a handwritten card or note there is something unique about the written word, that can make someone feel so special. It is great to receive a sweet text from someone, but when they take the time to handwrite their feelings for you, wow that’s something worth keeping.
  3. Tell someone special you love them whether it’s a parent, grandparent, bestie, or your true love. For all of us, I can bet there’s someone we don’t say that to near enough.
  4. Share some chocolate did you know you can buy a chocolate bar for as little as a dollar? It doesn’t have to be expensive and most everyone loves it. Also, I hear chocolate gives off good natural endorphins… I don’t have any stats but it seems true for me.
  5. Put down the phone and have a conversation this costs no money at all, and might be the best advice I can give. Most of us don’t spend near enough time engaging in meaningful uninterrupted conversations. This could possibly be the best year-long gift to share with someone you love.

Remember that with a little bit of planning you can make any day a sweet one.
